Measuring Waves

• The distance between two wave crests is called wavelength.

• Symbol is l and the unit is the meter (m).

• The time between two waves is called period - symbol is T; unit is second (s).

• The rate at which waves pass is called frequency - symbol is f; unit is Hertz (Hz).
